Walnut Paste

Ingredients
  

For the paste

  • 1 cup peeled walnuts
  • 1 lemon, juiced only use juice
  • 1-3 tbsp cold water
  • pinch of salt optional

Instructions
 

Making the paste

  • Start with good looking and more importantly good smelling walnuts. Discard rancid batches or moldy batches
  • Juice a lemon
  • Add the nuts to the blender
  • Add the juice
  • blend and check now and then the smoothness.
  • Add a little cold water if necessary to create a smoother paste
  • Store in a closed container in the fridge
